“For he hath given his angels charge over thee; to keep thee in all thy ways. In their hands they shall bear thee up: lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. Thou shalt walk upon the asp and the basilisk: and thou shalt trample under foot the lion and the dragon. “
Psalm 91.11-13    Douay-Rheims Bible (DRB)

Angels are around.

Bad accidents happen on this Earth, planes are crushing, ships are sinking and people are being killed on the roads every day. But when God sends his Angels everything changes.

„For in many things we all offend. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man. He is able also with a bridle to lead about the whole body. For if we put bits into the mouths of horses, that they may obey us: and we turn about their whole body. Behold also ships, whereas they are great and are driven by strong winds, yet are they turned about with a small helm, whithersoever the force of the governor willeth. Even so the tongue is indeed a little member and boasteth great things. Behold how small a fire kindleth a great wood. And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is placed among our members, which defileth the whole body and inflameth the wheel of our nativity, being set on fire by hell. „

James 3.2-6 (DRB)

Power of the Words

We speak what we want and how we want to. We speak things without even considering that things we say may actually come true (like “it is killing me”). Words have power, power to build or to destroy. It is your choice what you speak.

"A gradual canticle. When the Lord brought back the captivity of Sion, we became like men comforted. Then was our mouth filled with gladness; and our tongue with joy. Then shall they say among the Gentiles: The Lord hath done great things for them. The Lord hath done great things for us: we are become joyful. Turn again our captivity, O Lord, as a stream in the south. They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. Going they went and wept, casting their seeds. But coming they shall come with joyfulness, carrying their sheaves. “
Psalm 126 (DRB)

There is always sun after a storm.

It often happens that we run into a difficulty. It may be our fault or simply somebody hated us strong enough. Or it could be just a matter of circumstances. But it doesn’t matter what caused it. God is well able to deliver us.
