“Ask, and it shall be given you: seek, and you shall find: knock, and it shall be opened to you. For every one that asketh, receiveth: and he that seeketh, findeth: and to him that knocketh, it shall be opened. “
Mat. 7.7-8 (DRB)
Dig a well!
In a face of various difficult events people usually are passive, they say this is God’s will, then let it be so. Is this really right thing to do? Is God expecting us to be passive? Does He wants as to give up and surrender to circumstances?
Such a passive attitude unfortunately doesn’t grant a solution. God never commended us to be passive in difficult situation and in this passage particularly he is encouraging us to an intensive activity. Remember - every one who is looking for an answer finds it! Every one! God is not talking here about solving problems with our own methods, but he is encouraging us to seek his answer! In a face of any difficulty we must seek answers from God and direction of the Holy Spirit. We have to remember also that there is always a solution created by God because he is never surprised by our problems and He prepared solution long time before anything happened! And that means that every search must be successful. If it is not a case in your life you were not seeking properly (not in a right place, not with a right method or your were not persistent). So dig a well and don’t stop until you will find water. Don’t stop half a way, water may be just few inches deeper!
