SC Daily Meditations

“Master, which is the great commandment in the law?

Jesus said to him: Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with thy whole heart and with thy whole soul and with thy whole mind”

Mat. 22.36-37

Draw Closer to God

Although one of the reasons we usually search for God is a difficult situation, but it is a good thing after all. If you know the Holy Bible, and the Jewish Biblical History in particular. You will find, that they were many times stricken with hardship, due to the violation of God's law. It was a form of punishment, but the main reason of hardship was to cause repentance and to help them to come back to the LORD.

“Therefore, judge not before the time: until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts. And then shall every man have praise from God. “
1Co 4:5

Judge Not!

All people, you and me included, have a tendency to judge others by what we see. Unfortunately, what we see, in most cases is just a tip of an iceberg. We may condemn somebody, for what he did, by not knowing at all, why he did it. We may also justify somebody, when not knowing how evil his intent really was. People lie, hide truth and pretend. The only person in the world, who will truly know, what happened, is God himself.

„In all things taking the shield of faith, wherewith you may be able to extinguish all the fiery darts of the most wicked one. “

Ephesians 6.16 (DRB)
